Sustainability as a key factor

Since 2009, we have been sourcing 100% of our electricity from renewable energy sources (wind, hydro and biomass). Since then, we have reduced our CO2 emissions by approximately 50,000 metric tons per year. This amount is enough to supply approximately 250 households with electricity each year and is equivalent to a reduction in emissions totaling approximately 10,000 passenger cars.

ISCC+ certification

All of our plants have been fully ISCC+ certified since 2020, which enables us to use chemically recycled materials derived from a wide variety of feedstocks. This also allows us to use the sustainable resources of tomorrow.

Innovation & ongoing adaptation

A newly installed solar power system at both locations will result in annual electricity savings of 3–5%, which is equivalent to a reduction in CO2 emissions of 1,100 metric tons. Process heat is generated using heat pump technology. This represents a potential CO2 reduction of 650 metric tons per year. Energy consumption will be further reduced through ongoing upgrades to the machinery and the use of UV printing inks and coatings.
